healthy eating

I never really learned how to cook… When I moved out on my own cooking meant pouring some jarred sauce with some canned vegetables into a pot. I really didn’t know how to plan a meal, how to shop for or cook fresh vegetables, or what my body needed to feel nourished. After choosing a plant-based lifestyle, I realized I had to learn how to cook. I spent hour after hour combing cooking blogs, reading cookbooks, and experimenting in the kitchen. Lots of successes, and an equal amount of learning experiences (cooking fails), helped me to develop a love for cooking and a newfound love for eating!

In January of 2017, I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. This amazing education experience taught me innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories - Ayurveda, gluten-free, paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between.

My passion for sharing my food journey became my passion for coaching other people through their food journeys. It can take a lot of time and commitment, but these lifestyle changes can have lasting impacts. Each coaching session is deeply personal and tailored to fit your journey. You don’t have to do it alone!

In May of 2020, I started a journey through the Emotional Eating Psychology course from Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I was increasingly curious to learn more about our relationships to food, to cravings and our eating patterns, and our Relationships with our bodies to better understand and help my clients.

meditation

Since finding yoga, I have been a big proponent of meditation. I’ve personally seen the positive impacts meditation has had in my daily life. I love helping clients find ways to connect to self through meditation.

The benefits from a daily meditation practice are endless, a few of the best are listed below:

  • Heightened sense of awareness

  • Better focus and attention, ability to be present in the moment

  • Stress reduction

  • Increased self-awareness

  • Reduced negative emotions

  • Increased imagination and creativity

  • Increased patience and tolerance

We will work to find a way to “fit” meditation into your daily schedule.
